Our First Impact & Sustainability Report
We have just published our first Impact and Sustainability Report, a milestone for NawiriGroup as we reflect on our journey as a brand committed to genuine impact and the principles that guide us. Our purpose has always been clear: to create a future where ecosystems and communities thrive together. This report becomes an annual opportunity to look back at what we have achieved, measure progress, set benchmarks and identify areas for improvement.
Our goal is to ensure that every aspect of our business creates value in a way that directly contributes to positive impact—integrating conservation, community support, and responsible travel into the core of our operations, rather than treating these as separate or secondary efforts. To ensure that our impact is genuinely embedded throughout our business, we monitor progress across three key areas—external impact, internal impact, and travellers.
Over the past year, we have contributed US$9.8m into impact projects and nature protection to support vital ecosystems and improve the lives of those who call them home. From funding support for community-managed Wildlife Management Areas to improving access to and the quality of education in rural areas, every initiative reflects our belief that sustainable change must be both inclusive and locally driven.
As we expand our external impact work, we remain committed to ensuring our own operations are sustainable through initiatives like renewable energy, efficient resource use, and sustainable sourcing. We also review our internal environment. Internally, last year we delivered over 70,000 hours of training, helping employees advance into skilled roles and strengthening local economies.
We hope this report will inspire trust in our work, encourage collaboration, and set a benchmark for the years ahead. It is both a reflection of what we have done and a reminder of how much more there is to achieve. Together with our partners, travellers, and the communities we work with, we look forward to building a future where people and nature thrive in harmony
