Impact & Sustainability
Our vision as NawiriGroup is to bring together responsible travel businesses, conservation initiatives, community support programs, and impact investors to help vital ecosystems and their custodian communities thrive.
Our Impact and Sustainability Report is an annual checkpoint, a moment to reflect on our journey as a brand committed to genuine impact. To this end, each year, we reaffirm our approach, evaluate our progress, celebrate successes, and identify areas for improvement.
In 2023/24, we generated US$7.8m for nature protection through park fees, conservation levies, and infrastructure taxes, directly supporting vital ecosystems. Without these contributions, key conservation programs in these areas would be severely underfunded. Additionally, we deployed US$2m in funding to support education and poverty reduction, including scholarships, teacher training, and school support for over 11,000 children, and community-led conservation across 20,000 km² of Wildlife Management Areas.
Internally, we delivered over 70,000 hours of training, helping employees advance into skilled roles and strengthening local economies. A 29% reduction in Scope 1 CO2 emissions, driven by expanded solar capacity, reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability.
These results are part of our larger vision. For a deeper dive into our progress, please see the full Impact & Sustainability Report.
